Description

With its 73 meters in height and 21 floors, HAUT is the tallest hybrid wooden residential building in the Netherlands, and one of the tallest in the world. Designed by Team V Architecture in collaboration with Arup, the construction was carried out by JP van Eesteren for the developer Lingotto Investment.

HAUT is not only unique as a residential building due to its size and material, but it is also the first to receive the highest possible sustainability label: BREEAM Outstanding.

The use of wood, which gives the building its name, as the primary construction material, endows HAUT with its sustainable character. Wood has a significantly lower carbon footprint compared to concrete and steel. Additionally, we equipped the tower with energy-generating facades and triple glazing.

The location is typically Amsterdam, but the view is spectacular! The 1,282 floor-to-ceiling aluminum windows, made from Reflex Kawneer RT72 profiles with triple glazing, which we installed for JP van Eesteren, offer breathtaking views of the Amstel and Amsterdam. We preassembled the frames as HSB elements at Timmerfabriek Frank van Roij in Goirle, allowing for a quick installation on site.

The facades are also equipped with photovoltaic panels, Colorbel cladding, and trim and cladding finishes for the loggias. The triangular commercial base, located beneath the residential part, was fitted with approximately 883 m² of Schüco aluminum curtain wall.
